REEL FEATURES
A7075 Aircraft Grade Aluminum
ABS Spool ABS spools have a large arbor diameter that gets larger towards the top of the spool.  This prevents  any "cones" during winding of the line. This means the line is kept from unraveling in big loops and  thus prevents the twisting of the line. Thanks to this system, longer smoother casts are possible.
Air Bail Super strong yet lightweight, with no protrusions to snag line.
Air Brake System Improving on the Magforce Z concept by adding a rotor that rotates, allowing a frictionless transition when the rotor is engaging/disengaging.
Air Rotor Weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs.  It's unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength.
Anodized A chemical process that changes a reel's finish to be more durable and corrosion resistant than standard finishes.
Carbon Light Body Much lighter than conventional materials yet very durable.
Centriflex  Protected by the reel’s quickly removable left side plate, a simple click adjustment on the spool’s end lets you dial in the perfect anti-backlash setting for your style of casting.
CRBB Corrosion resistant ball bearings last up to 12 times longer than standard stainless steel ball bearings.
Dendoh Japan naming term for electric power assisted reels.
DigiGear Machined, digitally developed gearing for maximum performance and endurance. Embedded in our HardBodyZ aluminum body, it transmits smoothly and efficiently the power of the handle directly to the rotor.
Dual Stopper Ensures ultimate gear control with a highly refined system delivering the complete elimination of handle back play for increased sensitivity and hook setting power.
EVA Durable,  heavy duty foam.
Free Floating Spool Daiwa's unique system floats the spool independently on precision, stainless steel ball bearings.  The pinion rides it's own separate shaft, allowing the spool to spin freely, unhampered by gear train friction when casting.
G1 Duralumin G1 Duralumin is 1.3 times stronger than standard aircraft grade aluminum, and 2 times stronger than magnesium. With precision machining, this dramatically reduces the weight of spool yet maintaining proper strength without drilling holes into the spool.
Hardbodyz Narrow profile design with a rigid aluminum alloy body. Precision gears remain in alignment under the heaviest of loads for greater winding power.
Helical Cut gears Helical-cut gears have more teeth engaging at any one time. This gives the gears more surface area to accommodate heavy loads.
I-Knob Handle Comfortable, light weight soft touch foam and soft touch cork handle knobs.
Infinite Anti-reverse Limits back play handle movement to almost zero for solid hooksets ad preventing of line slack.
JOG Power lever One finger operation is an upgrade over standard power levers and allows for instant, variable speed and power.
Long Cast Spool Taller, shallower arbor spools create less friction as the line leaves the reel,  increasing casting distance.
LT Light and Tough. Smaller body design yet with larger DigiGear drive for the perfect combination of lightness and toughness.
Machined Aluminum Handle Ergonomically correct and screws easily into the body.
Magforce A spool braking system designed to slow the spool speed with magnetic force according to desired settings, in order to prevent overrun.
Magforce-Z As you start a cast and the spool approaches maximum speed, the spool's rotor cup is kicked out towards from the magnets, creating a buttery smooth braking pressure preventing overrun. As the spool begins to slow nearing the end of the cast, the rotor cup automatically retracts from the magnets – keeping the spool spinning longer- maximizing casting distance.
Mag Oil Magnetic Oil is one of a new generation of Nano Fluids that can change density and shape when a magnetic field is applied.
Magsealed Magnetic oil bridges the gap between the inner and outer bearing races- keeping the elements out.
Monocoque This design incorporates a one-piece frame and a one-piece threaded side plate. Because screws are not necessary to attach the side plate and hold the main gear, the interior space in the body is greater allowing for a larger more powerful gear held in place by the lighter, sturdier body rather than the traditional side plate
Power Mesh Drive A system of spiral cut gears and extra tough ball bearings for strong cranking power and smooth line payout.
SiC (Silicon Carbide) Cutproof material that prevents grooving by heavy line pressures and friction.
Super Drag 7 disc drag system for extra consistency and strength.
Super Tuned 3 standard bearings in contact with the spool shaft are replaced with ultra smooth, high speed bearings.
SV SV SPOOL is made of Super Duralumin which is lighter but has great strength. SV SPOOL with Air Brake System helps cast lightweight lures with ease to give you a longer cast with no backlash.
Swept handle Daiwa's exclusive swept handle moves the paddles closer to the rod's centerline. The result is less wobble of the rod and reel in your hand as you crank. That means less wasted energy - a more powerful retrieve.
Titanium Nitrided A stronger material used in line guides/pickup pins that creates less wear on gear and smoother winding.
T-Wing The "T" aperture allows line to flow freely through the wide top section on outcast, reducing the normally sharp angles and friction that slow line flowing through a narrow aperture when exiting the reel. For retrieve, line drops into the narrow, lower channel of the T-wing for even distribution across the spool width.
U.T.D. Drag Oversized carbon drag washers allow for maximum fish stopping power.
Zaion The ideal material for lightweight reels. Lightweight strength and resistance to flexing rival that of Magnesium and will not corrode.
Zero Adjustor Thanks to the revolutionary SV-Concept, it is no longer necessary to adjust the Mechanical Spool Brake Knob when casting. Perfect Zero Adjuster setting is when the spool shaft is held without side to side spool play. Appropriate brake power adjustment is now fully manageable with only the use of the Magnetic dial.

ROD FEATURES
AGS Carbon framed guides have a higher rigidity than titanium frame guides and greater sensitivity which conveys even the slightest fish bites to angler's hands through the line.
Air-Beam Reel Seat Removes excess material and weight from the core of the reel seat, leaving only that required for strength.
Aluminum Oxide One of the first ceramic rings to widely popularize guides with ring inserts. It’s strength and durability allow for fishing with Braided lines. They have been utilized by all fishing rod builders and this ceramic ring technology has never lost its place even decades later.
Braiding-X Braiding-X construction which reinforces the blank and reduces blank twist.
Compile-X Daiwa's exclusive Compile-X Graphite construction is lightweight and sensitive to detect extremely subtle bites.
Dendoh Electric, power assisted reels (and the rods designed specifically for use with these reels).
Dynaflo Ultralight Guides Ultra lightweight polished stainless steel ringed guides. Only for use with monofilament and Fluorocarbon lines (no Braided Lines).

Glatech Sandwiching unidirectional fiberglass between inner and outer layers of graphite provides a perfect blend of light weight and stiff backbone.
HVF In contrast to normal carbon fiber rods with high resin content in the space between the carbon fibers DAIWA HVF (High Volume Fiber) rods are made of a carbon fiber compound with less resin, called HVF. Since resin has a high weight, rods made of HVF are more condensed, more light weight and feature a faster action.
IM-6 Graphite fiber layers in the graphite construction of a rod blank (Example IM-6 = 6 graphite layers) more layers is normally greater sensitivity.
IM-7 Graphite fiber layers in the graphite construction of a rod blank (Example IM-7 = 7 graphite layers) more layers is normally greater sensitivity.
K-shape tangle free frames Automatic detangling guide system with a 70 degree angle guide design to reduce wind knots during casts.
Low-Rider guides Narrow, long cast guides accommodate both spinning and conventional reels.
Micro Pitch Taping A process in the production of rod blanks used for extremely precise control of materials used.
Nanoplus Resin material first is enriched with a nanoalloy compound and then is used for connecting the single carbon fibers, thus enabling the design of very lightweight and robust blanks.
Powerlift X Grip Powerlift triangular shaped grip + X wrap shrink tube.
SEAGUIDE Aluminum Oxide ringed guides Allow for maximum strength with minimum resistance whether paying out or retrieving line.
SVF Daiwa's exclusive Graphite Construction (SUPER HIGH VOLUME FIBER) combines precise resin control with unidirectional Graphite fiber to produce a blank with maximum graphite density. The blanks are extremely lightweight, powerful and sensitive.
SVF Nanoplus Super Volume Fiber blanks for increased sensitivity and less weight.
SVF XBD To handle the extreme stress and torque put on the rod blank when fishing heavy braid, SVF-XBD sandwiches uni-directional graphite between bias graphite throughout the entire blank length. The result is reduced weight with greater strength and resistance to twisting.
